About Us
ARK Ministries exists to offer support to kids in Fremont County, CO, affected by incarceration by showing them the love of Jesus.
ARK stands for A Refuge for Kids. Just like the ark was a refuge for Noah and his family in the Bible, so we aim to provide a safe place for kids affected by the incarceration of a parent.
We are inspired by Psalm 46:1: "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." Our goal is to help kids feel God's refuge and love in the storms of life.
By creating a safe place, we allow them to share friendships with others who have similar experiences. Kids have space to express their feelings without judgment and feel loved and valued - no matter the things that have happened in their lives.
We provide a variety of programs, including a Kids' Club that runs twice a month, a summer camp program, and several family events throughout the year.
We would love to have your kids be a part of ARK Ministries!
Ark Ministries is an affiliate of New Horizons Ministries, a ministry focused on helping people discover freedom from the destructive cycle of incarceration.
We have a deep burden for the children who are affected by incarceration. As a ministry, New Horizons Ministries has been caring for children affected by incarceration for over thirty years and knows the importance of children developing positive relationships with adults and other children.
Our Mission Statement:
A Refuge for Kids affected by parental incarceration, providing opportunities for them to experience the love of God.

ARK Ministries Statement of Faith
- We believe in one God eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
- We believe that God has revealed himself in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, the inspired, inerrant Word of God, and supremely in his Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
- We believe that in the beginning God created all things by His Son. He made man in the divine image, with free will, moral character, and a spiritual nature.
- We believe that man fell into sin, bringing depravity and death upon the race; that as sinner, man is self-centered and self-willed, unwilling, and unable to break with sin.
- We believe that there is one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who died to redeem us from sin and arose for our justification.
- We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Christ, a free gift bestowed by God on those who repent and believe.
- We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts of sin, effects the new birth, gives guidance in life, empowers for service, and enables perseverance in faith and holiness.
- We believe that those who repent and believe should be baptized with water as a symbol of baptism with the Spirit, cleansing from sin, and commitment to Christ.
- We believe that at death the unsaved enter into everlasting punishment and the saved into eternity with Christ, who is coming again, and will raise the dead, sit in judgment, and bring in God’s everlasting kingdom.
- We believe that God has established either male or female as determined biologically at conception. We believe that marriage is intended by God to be the union of one male and one female for life. We believe that God has reserved sex for marriage. The practice of sex outside of marriage is sin.
- We believe that it is the will of God for Christians to show Christian love to all people.
There are no faith requirements for the families participating in ARK Ministries programs. We are honored to serve all children impacted by parental incarceration, providing love and support with the resources God has given us.
We require all ARK volunteers to agree with or respect the statement of faith. This helps to promote unity and oneness in our purpose.
